Northants Food and Drink Festival

Northants Food and Drink Festival

The first Northamptonshire Food and Drink Festival took place on Sunday 2nd June at The Kettering Park Hotel and Spa and was a huge success!

Kerry Bate, owner of Polka Dot Events, organisers of the festival, the first one of its kind to be held in Kettering said “I was delighted with the day and am sure it is the first of what will become an annual event”.

The sun was shining and hundreds of people attended, sampling the diversity of food and drink on offer from the best local producers.

With free entry for everyone and food and drink to buy from almost all the 40 exhibitors, nobody was left out. With everything available from full fat to gluten free and dairy to vegan, those who wished could graze their way through the afternoon, all washed down with a glass of whatever they fancied.

As well as food and drink, there was family entertainment in the hotel gardens, making it a truly all round family event. Alongside  an appearance from the Thwaites Shire Horse Drawn Dray, there were quirky stalls and exhibitors from all sectors of the supply industry.

Kerry Bate from the event organisers Polka Dot Events said “I wanted to thank everyone involved in helping to make the event such a success, in particular the staff at event hosts The Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, who worked tirelessly to keep everything on track and in particular Simon Cox for all his help”.

Other partners and sponsors included Cutting Edge Labels and Hoppy Family Brewery, along with Poppy Design Studio and Red Octagon Social Media Management, without whom the event would never have been the success it was.

These events are great showcases for local producers and suppliers and serve to demonstrate the wealth, diversity and quality of food and drink available from around and about Northamptonshire.

We look forward to the Northants Food and Drink Festival becoming a regular feature in the events calendar of the area.
